POEM COMPETITION!
Yes, we have a fourth competition! This time,
write a poem about animals. It can be as long as
you like, and anyone can enter as many times
as they wish, as long as it has something to do
with animals. Write your entries in the comments
below this. Your entries should be in by March
19th. Then, there will be a new blog - 'Votes For
Poem Competition', where each member can vote for
their favourite poem. All votes should be in
by April 19th, and the votes will be counted and
verified and the results shall be released on the
20th of April. The winner shall have the poem
published on the website, and if the winner is a
member, they will be awarded 5 stars! Good luck!

A laboratory life.
Snuggled up next to my mum,
Hoping her leave would never come.
But come it did, a few days after,
Then our tiny cage was drained of laughter.
From a hole in the railings,
We saw her face, heard her wailing.
Needles and tubes from her head,
But she was alive, not quite dead.
One final squeal of pain she died,
I couldn’t stop myself, I cried.
A wasted life, what a shame,
Little did I know mine would be the same.
Every day they test cosmetics on me,
The pain I suffer, so happy you’ll be.

who like nothing but to drink morning dew
he slurped up so much
that his belly swelled up
that silly old duck named drew
