Join The Debate: Animal Testing
Do you opose animal testing. Do you think that it
is vital for medecine. Do you only opose animal
tests for non-medecine related products. This
talk is perhaps the most agressive one. Join the

Vanity vs Medical research
How can medical science develop if exploratory
research is not carried out? Would we be a
developing country if we had not had the chance
to explore. Fully disagree with testing animals
for cosmetic reasons. Life of an animal for
vanity is not acceptable but some people are
still unaware of how much testing is undertaken
for cosmetic reasons.

This is the opinion that many people have. They
disagree with aniaml testing for cosmetics yet
not for drugs. I am against all aniaml testing.
What does the testing on animals for drugs
actually do? Aniamls have different genes and
make-up than we do. The only reason that these
people test on animals is to hide themselves
behind a wall and be protected so that if someone
died because of their drugs and they were taken
to court they can say 'Well, it's been tested on
animals'. And many people do die because of the
drugs. Wouldn't it be more useful to just count
the number of people that die. That's the right
testing. If the people die because of the drugs
that shows that the aniaml testing is unecassary
in the first place. And the products that animals
are tested on? Why do you need aniaml test on
shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste, postit notes,
coffee, tobaco, sugar, even water!

I'm against animal testing too, but think where
we'd be without it! We'd all have many desieses
because there would be no drugs to cure us!

Just for some drgs? These may be good, but think
about the price. Not money, but lives. I call it
a 'holocaust'. Do you know how many animals are
experimented on each year? Anyway, these animal
tests are practically unnecessary - after all
these, when the drugs are released, many people
die because of the drugs. Why not analyse those
results? The only real reason that these animals
are tested on is for a safety net - if the
manager gets sued and taken to court he or she
will say 'Well, we've tested them on animals.'
And anyway, an animal's genes are different to
ours, so all that we make from testing on
animals is an estimate. And... It's expensive,
and it would only take a few years to make an
animal safe computer program.

I am against animal testing! I used to be
against it for cosmetics, but not medicine. But
I changed my mind after thinking about it
because why does an animal deserve to die
because we want a cure. I'm not saying that if I
was dying i would refuse animal tested cures,
but really the only thing that the animals get
is death. No choice, no thank you, no nice
friendly conditions in the lead up to there
cruel death. Nothing at all! And it doesnt even
help them, they cant really be cured by the
drugs developed. God made all animals equal, I
think he would disaprove of us killing many of
his creation so that we can be cured of illness'
only to die later or smell better. Its kind of
murder, and why on animals if it were humans it
would not be allowed. Why on animals...are they
lesser beings...NO!

We're Equally Different
To me we are not the same as other animals. Each
different type of animal and each single animal
is different. Really, saying that we are all
equal is like saying Bob is like George. But Bob
doesn't like custard pie even though George
does. And George doesn't like rollercoaster
rides, and Bob loves all - especially the Pepsi
Max. But the fact that we are all different
makes us all equal - equally different. Each
different animal should have the right to live
and enjoy it's life. And, because we're
different, testing on an animal that has
different genes to Bob (or any other human). So,
we never really get the facts right,
thearetically meaning that testing on animals is
almost pointless, and it is proven by the fact
that many people do die of drugs (medecine
kind). The, main reason that companies do test
on animals is to have a 'saftey net'. If they
were taken to court because someone died then
they would be able to say 'Well, they were
tested on animals.' So, even if these drugs were
really helpful it would be bad that animals are
killed after living a barren remote life in a
small cage constantly having drugs pumped into
you. But because we're differnt and have
different genes, the correct side effects are
not known and even though it would be helpful to
most many people die of the side effects that
cannot be found in an animal - making it almost
pointless. And the argument about computer
programs - It would take a few years - that's
it - to build a computer program. If they simply
took the time to make one, the companies
wouldn't spend as much money and many animals
will not be tortured and killed.

There is nothing more pointless
Animal testing IS the most pointless practise
that exists in this world at this moment in
time - no argument! It's all for money, no
matter what anyone says, it's not "for the good
of the human race"!!! Have you heard of any
brilliant miracle cures from testing on animals
that hasn't ended up with MAJOR side effect?? I
haven't, and I've done a tonne of research!
There was one drug that was found safe on
chimps, and then was to young children with
leukemia. Most of them wen blind, and hundreds
died. That was only about 15-20 years ago, and
nothing's changed much. I am especially against
Huntingdon Life Sciences, because I read
articles describing some of the pointless,
inhumane, sick and utterly unforgivabe "tests"
they're conducting there - including throwing 3-
month-old puppies against walls, and covering
husky puppies with petrol, and then setting them
on fire. Oh yeah, I think that'll really help
the human race - like hell.

how would you like is someone didn't give you a
chioce but made you use your body for testing?
It's would not be fun would it? So think about
how the animals feel;the point i am trying to get
